A reception venue needn’t be where your wedding begins. Tell us about both parts of the day so the film can carry the people and promises of the ceremony into the evening celebration.
Confirm your portrait access
Talk to AGO Events about the spaces and times available to your wedding. An event booking and a visit to the public galleries are different arrangements; the portrait plan should reflect your confirmed access.
Choose how Super 8 fits your film
Olivia and Ebinee’s highlight shows real Super 8 woven alongside digital footage. Our Super 8 add-on also includes a reel of its own, giving you both a standalone film and the option to bring that texture into your wedding edit.

Their ceremony and brunch took place earlier in the day with immediate family. The evening reception unfolded in Walker Court at the Art Gallery of Ontario, with an all-black dress code and floral arrangements by Floral Asylum. Their film connects the closeness of the morning with the energy of the reception.
Access & arrangements
The AGO’s visitor guidelines do not permit staged wedding or engagement photography during public gallery hours. Coordinate portrait spaces and timing with AGO Events, and confirm the filming arrangements for your event. The guideline below is a visitor policy; your wedding’s access should be agreed with the event team.

Questions about filming at Art Gallery of Ontario
Was Olivia and Ebinee’s ceremony at the AGO?
No. Their ceremony and brunch took place earlier in the day with immediate family. The AGO hosted their evening reception in Walker Court.
Can Super 8 be part of a digital wedding film?
Yes. Super 8 can be woven into your highlight, short film or documentary feature alongside digital footage. The add-on also includes a separate Super 8 reel. Olivia and Ebinee’s highlight is a real example of the combined edit.
Can we simply use the public galleries for wedding portraits?
Arrange this with AGO Events before the day. The AGO’s public visitor guidelines prohibit staged wedding and engagement shoots during visitor hours, so public admission should not be treated as a wedding portrait booking.
