Which Wedding Film Length Is Right for You?
The length of a wedding film changes what it can hold. A shorter film distils the day into a few powerful minutes. A longer one has room for full conversations, more of the ceremony, and the rhythm of the celebration. Neither is a measure of how much your wedding matters. The best fit depends on what you want to return to years from now.
Highlight film: the feeling of the day
Our Highlight Film runs about four to five minutes. It brings together the moments, voices and images that carry the strongest emotional thread. It is easy to share with family and friends and often the film you will replay most. It cannot show every event in full; its strength is how it makes the day feel.

Short film: more room for the story
At around eight to ten minutes, a Short Film can let moments develop: a few more words from your vows or speeches, a transition between locations, a reaction that deserves time. Our Short Film collection also includes a 90-second trailer. It is a good fit if you want a film with a clear arc that still feels concise enough to watch in one sitting.
When comparing examples, listen as much as you watch. Notice how a speech or a quiet exchange gives meaning to the images that follow.
Feature film: space for the full celebration
Our Feature Film is a documentary edit of approximately 25 minutes, with a separate 90-second trailer. It gives us room to follow the day more fully, including the people and traditions that might only appear briefly in a shorter film. It suits couples who want to sit down together and revisit the celebration as a story, not only its highlights.
Every collection also includes an archive of the ceremony and speeches, so choosing a shorter creative film does not mean those moments disappear. The Feature collection additionally includes raw footage on an SSD. Compare exactly what is included in each collection before deciding.
Questions that make the choice easier
- What do you imagine watching together? A vivid return to the feeling, or a longer account of how the day unfolded?
- How central are spoken words? If many readings, speeches or traditions shape your story, a longer edit gives them breathing room.
- Who will watch it? A short film travels easily; a feature can be a more immersive keepsake for the two of you and close family.
- Do you want both? The trailer and ceremony-and-speeches archive give you different ways to revisit the wedding alongside your main film.
