Raya and Roman’s Toronto wedding was full of Ukrainian tradition, beginning with an intimate family blessing before their ceremony at St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church. The ceremony featured Vesnivka Choir, with Ukrainian choral music woven throughout the service. 

Their celebration continued at Palais Royale on Toronto’s waterfront, with a traditional bread, salt and wine welcome, Ukrainian dancing, a towel ceremony and live music. Planned by Sylvia Ibrahim of Le Petit House, the day balanced meaningful family traditions with a lively summer reception overlooking Lake Ontario.
