Palais Royale Wedding Films

Family traditions, live music and a celebration beside Lake Ontario. Raya and Roman’s wedding brings the emotion of their Ukrainian ceremony into an energetic Palais Royale reception.

Raya + Roman · A glimpse of their wedding film

A wedding we filmed

Raya + Roman

Raya and Roman’s Toronto wedding was full of Ukrainian tradition, beginning with an intimate family blessing before their ceremony at St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church. The ceremony featured Vesnivka Choir, with Ukrainian choral music woven throughout the service.

Their celebration continued at Palais Royale on Toronto’s waterfront, with a traditional bread, salt and wine welcome, Ukrainian dancing, a towel ceremony and live music. Planned by Sylvia Ibrahim of Le Petit House, the day balanced meaningful family traditions with a lively summer reception overlooking Lake Ontario.

This wedding trailer was edited to “Carry You Home” by Alex Warren, bringing together the emotional moments, Ukrainian traditions and high-energy celebration into a short cinematic film.

Planning your film here

01

Connect the church and reception

Their ceremony took place at St. Nicholas before the move to Palais Royale. Include travel and arrival time so the film team can prepare for the welcome at the reception.

02

Explain the traditions

Bread, salt and wine, a towel ceremony and Ukrainian dancing all had a place in this celebration. Tell us what each tradition means to you and when it will happen.

03

Keep live music in the story

Coordinate performances and entrances with your planner, band and film team. Being ready for the start lets us capture both the musicians and the reactions around the room.

Your wedding, seen with fresh eyes.

Tell us what draws you to Palais Royale and what you want your film to hold. We’ll plan around your people, your traditions and the way you want to experience the day.
