A wedding we filmed

Shameran + Douglas

Shameran and Douglas’s intimate Assyrian wedding began with traditional celebrations, including the taking away of the bride and dabke, before their ceremony at The Cathedral Church of Saint Mary in Etobicoke.

Their celebration continued at Paletta Mansion in Burlington, where fewer than 100 guests gathered for an intimate evening on the historic lakefront estate. Their wedding film was created with a cinematic, dialogue-free approach, focusing on movement, atmosphere and the energy of the Assyrian traditions woven throughout the day.

Planning your film here

01

Let the traditions lead

Their day began with family celebrations and continued with a church ceremony before Paletta Mansion. Tell us which traditions you want the film to carry and where they will take place.

02

Make time for the waterfront

Build a portrait window into the reception plan with your photographer. Confirm access and weather alternatives rather than assuming the lakeside conditions will suit every part of the day.

03

Choose how your film feels

This film takes a dialogue-free approach. If you are drawn to a story led by music and movement, share that with us alongside examples of the energy you love.

Your wedding, seen with fresh eyes.

Tell us what draws you to Paletta Mansion and what you want your film to hold. We’ll plan around your people, your traditions and the way you want to experience the day.
