Choosing Music for Your Wedding Film

Music changes the way a wedding film moves. The same image can feel intimate, playful or triumphant depending on the sound around it. We love finding that match, but we do not want to guess what moves you.

Start with a shortlist

We ask you for songs you genuinely like so we can understand your taste: a love song, an instrumental piece, a melody you return to, and something with more energy. Slow and fast choices help us understand the range of your day. If music from your culture belongs in the celebration, please include it. It can carry a meaning no generic track could replace.

A cultural tradition asks for music chosen with care for the people and moment.

How many songs should you send?

As a starting point, we ask for three songs for a Highlight Film, five or six for a Short Film, and seven to ten for a Feature Film. These are references, not a playlist we must use in order. Tell us what you love about each one. Is it the lyric, the pace, the build, or a memory attached to it?

A quieter passage needs a different pace from the energy of the evening.

Music we can actually use

We have access to licensed music libraries with work by talented musicians, including cinematic and instrumental tracks. We use your shortlist to guide that search. A favourite commercial song cannot automatically go into a publicly shared wedding film; it needs the right permission. If a specific song is essential, tell us early so we can discuss what rights or alternatives are possible.

The energy of a celebration can lift when the music and edit move together.

The music and the real sound

Music should support your voices, not flatten them. We make room for vows, speeches, laughter and the live sound of the day, then use the score to connect those moments. The result is a film that moves with your story and still sounds like your wedding.

Compare film lengths or tell us about the music you love.
